The Providence 48" Driftwood vanity by James Martin Vanities features a Plantation Style take that can take you anywhere. From the beach, to the cottage, to the cabin you will feel at home with this beautifully hand crafted piece of furniture as the focal point in your bathroom. Pewter finish Plantation Style door hardware and drawer pulls adorn two doors, with shelves for storage, and three drawers, with the bottom drawer being double height for taller items. Each cabinet is configured to work with our variety of either  2cm, 3cm, or a 4 cm countertops. Matching decorative wood backsplash is included.

Beautiful vanity but...

How frustrating to have new items in a remodel go sour so quickly. This vanity was chosen for what we hoped for was quality. However, we have a few issues that we'd like to post about, in hopes that it helps others avoid these problems and headaches. The sink that we purchased with the countertop, as an extra with the countertop, is too flat so it doesn't allow for proper draining. The basin is constantly coated with hard water deposits. It never looks clean. This lead to using harsh chemicals which ruined the drain's coating, so our new vanity sink looks old and trashy, and now it will be costly to replace the drain. Nice, for a newly remodeled bathroom. Also, the cool "antiqued" latch broke with minimal use, so now the door cannot be latched properly. The backsplash is also not practical at all. It is made of wood, which doesn't make sense to me because of its exposure to water, and it also is paneled so there are grooves that need to be filled in with silicone instead of a straight line. I just really expected better quality for the price of this vanity.
